We approached several agents on the island late last year when we were exploring our property options. Through telephone conversations, emails, and subsequently local interviews it became apparent to us that TP provided the most objective and insightful information to help us reach a decision. When it came to making a purchase we were not disappointed. TP understood very clearly what and where we were looking to buy, and did not try and promote those properties on their books that were unsuitable.

We ended up buying off plan and have been thoroughly impressed with our choice, which is nearing completion. It is a testament to TP's objectivity and professionalism that our purchase was recommended over others which could have resulted in higher sales fees to TP but which would have been less suitable for our purposes.

Knowledge of the local market, regulations, developers and sellers are TP's strengths, along with a consultative, empathetic and non-pushy approach to doing business which sets them apart from other agents, both in Phuket and elsewhere.

We would recommend unreservedly the services of TP (and indeed have done to friends and colleagues) to anybody looking to purchase a property in Phuket.

I got in contact with Tropical Properties whilst looking for a property in Phuket. We are a middle aged Norwegian couple who has traveled to Asia the last 10 years, during our holidays. In 2004 we seriously made plans for buying us a house in Thailand.

We traveled to Hua Hin, Pattaya and Jomtien to search for good objects and had some contact with a couple of Real Estate Agents. Our concerns about buying property in Thailand were not reduced by talking to these different agents in this Real Estate Market. We also did a lot of ‘homework’ to get information about risks when buying property in Thailand.

After some months we started to look for a house in Phuket and by coincidence we came in contact with ‘Tropical Properties’- Real Estate and Managing Director Luc Montens. It was not difficult to get names/references from a group of Scandinavian customers who previous bought property using the services of ‘Tropical Properties’ and this way we found his reputation to be very good.

We started the buying process during July/August 2005. We had nearly daily contact with Mr. Montens. The project we had in mind was rather new, but we had to check up everything that could possibly go wrong.
We were very demanding customers with a lot of questions and soon Mr. Montens impressed in how he acted towards us. The service was superb regarding the communication, his explanations and how he all the way tried to help us to make the right decisions.
After a short time we got a lot of confidence in him and his firm. We experienced the service to be very different from our experiences with earlier agents we had contact with before.
In September 2005 we traveled to Phuket for one week and bought the villa we had checked out before our trip. Mr. Montens was by our side all the way until all papers were signed by the lawyer we had picked out. He also helped us in all matters regarding how to run a company model.

During the first year after our purchase of the villa, we sometimes needed some good advice from an expert. Even though Mr. Montens had finished his business with us, he still stood by our side and helped us in every matter.

Two years ago I was visiting Phuket with the purpose in mind to purchase a house and land. After spending several days searching the ads and talking to many real estate representatives in dozens of offices I came upon Tropical Properties.
 
I was first impressed by the clean and organized appearance of the office and the professionalism of his staff. Mr. Montens greeted me with a warm friendly smile and a firm hand shake. After discussing what I wanted and how much I was willing to spend, we immediately made an appointment to meet the next morning so that he could show me some properties (that's what i call quick service). We met on time the next day, he drove me to the property site and answered the many questions that I had. Luc arranged for the seller to meet us at the development, therefore all my questions and concerns were answered on the spot. We visited the property several times afterwards and discussed all the particulars concerning the laws regulating the sale of property to foreigners. He also gave me invaluable advice on other matter regarding establishing a business. During the construction phase of the house I was out of the country so Luc was a tremendous help by acting as an interface with me and the contractor. Mr. Montens was also kind enough to let me store some of my belongings, for months, in his office until I moved into the house.
